Michael A. Trent is a native Virginian whose love for nature is uniquely captured in his artwork. He has produced a widespread collection of artistic works using pen and ink and watercolors as his mediums and enjoys painting many subjects from custom portraits of homes and buildings, to scenic landscapes, pets, birds, and other wildlife.
Michael has sold many of his prints and cards at several craft shows in Virginia. In 2006, he displayed seven of his paintings at the Amelia Historical Society Art Show. The Amelia Historical Society holds an annual art show every year to showcase the works of different artists from the area. Michael was the featured artist at this particular art show in 2006. One of his original paintings, "Sweet Gum Fellowship", was donated to the Amelia Historical Society for silent auction that year as well.
Last year, Michael also had the pleasure of donating several of his prints to the local Pregnancy Center of Southside Virginia as a token of thankfulness for their commitment to the community.
Michael currently resides in rural Virginia with his family. He has been married to his wife, Julie, for 25 years and together they have three children- Allison, Philip, and Eric.
